Semester Courses

The foreign language courses are offered during the winter and summer semester. Throughout the winter semester the following levels of foreign language courses are offered: Breakthrough 1, Waystage 3, Threshold 1 and Vantage 3. Follow-up courses of each of these levels are offered during the summer semester.

Number of participants

The number of participants for each course is limited. The minimum number of participants is 15 per course. treffpunkt sprachen reserves the right to cancel courses. A refund of the course fee is only possible if a course is cancelled and if the necessary bank details are transferred in time.

ECTS Credits

2 semester hours per week (2 hrs) - 3 ECTS credits

Record of academic achievement

Course certificate for students:

  • 80 % attendance
  • Active participation
  • Achievement of course goals
  • Assignments
  • Written or oral exam at the end of the semester
  • The certificate can be printed via UNIGRAZonline a few weeks after the end of the course (see "Exam Results").

Confirmation of participation for staff of the University of Graz and external participants:

  • At least 70 % attendance
  • Active participation
  • Achievement of course goals
