German as a Foreign Language

The German courses prepare participants for the real German in use in Austria and its education system. The focus is on communication and action-oriented learning to deal with a wide variety of contact situations in a German-speaking environment. The language courses offer participants the opportunity to practice their productive (speaking and writing) and receptive (reading and listening comprehension) skills and consolidate them with the aid of authentic materials.

Our target groups

treffpunkt sprachen offers German courses for (incoming) students at the University of Graz and Graz University of Technology, the staff of other universities in Graz, as well as external participants whose native language is not German.

Our German courses

Courses are offered from level A1 to level C1. There are both intensive courses (September and February) as well as semester courses during the academic year. The Language-Culture-Literature programme takes place in July and focuses on Central and Southeastern Europe (at least level B2 required to participate). All of the courses are fee-based!
